Want to sit in on a conversation between some influential pastors? Here’s your chance. Great convo between Driscoll, Chan and Harris on riches, poverty and the glory of God. It’s worth the time. Oh, and check out the missed high-5/pound between Driscoll and Harris at 5:55. Nobody is perfect!

A thought on service
Pondering some things as I’m re-reading “The Trellis and the Vine.” So often the first step in church involvement is looking for a place (or being encouraged to find a place) to serve. The idea behind this is that involvement breeds commitment, and we should be involved in our church. Though this may be true, our ultimate aim as the church isn’t to get people more involved...

Good Sunday Reminder
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence” 2 Peter 1:3
In Christ and through His word we have ALL we need for life and godliness. Do you believe that? Than why are you trying to earn it or find it? It’s been given already!

One or Two Columns?
So, I just changed my design (which I’m really happy with) and I can’t decide if I prefer one column or two for my page layout (see pics below). Two column shows more content which is fun for browsing, but may seem more cluttered. One column is more clean and linear and highlights the comments link, facebook like button, etc (but, less posts are visible). Decisions! Do you have an...

eJournal
I was curious if anybody out there has tried digital journaling either online of not. Is there a website, or application that you would recommend? I can see myself enjoying typing out my thoughts, observations and prayers as I spend time in the Bible, and being able to review them easily. Penzu and OhLife are two that interest me, but that’s all I’ve found. OhLife is nice because every...

Pages to ePub →
In an iWork update today, Apple added to ability to export a Pages document in the ePub format. Basically this means you can create your own documents and read them on your iPhone/iPad using the iBooks app (or other ePub readers). I’m anxious to see if this is something I might utilize in the future.

A hymn for the suffering
Came across an old hymn, written by the suffering soul, William Cowper.
Deep in unfathomable mines Of never-failing skill, He treasures up his bright designs And works his sovereign will.
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, But trust him for his grace; Behind a frowning providence He hides a smiling face.
His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour; The bud may have a bitter...

I've been robbed, by my cell phone company
I have a sob story I felt like typing out…
We had been in America over the holidays. When we got back, we couldn’t make calls on our phones. Apparently, one of the bills didn’t get payed. Not my fault though, because its on auto-payments with my debit that I set up in their office. They just didn’t charge me one month (it’s worked before it, and after it). So, rather...
